KORT The Hand Center is located in Gould's Medical Center near Norton Suburban Hospital on Dutchmans Lane. Our occupational therapists specialize in hand therapy and upper extremity treatment including:

  • Hand therapy for orthopedic, neurological and traumatic conditions
  • Treatment for the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand
  • Custom splint fabrication
  • Cumulative trauma intervention
  • Sensory re-education
  • Wound care
  • Arthritic hand conditions
  • RSD/Complex Regional Pain Syndrome Program
  • Handwriting and fine motor intervention

 

Amanda L. Edsell OTR/L, CHT graduated from Spalding University in 2002 with a Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy. In 2008, she became a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). Amanda is certified to perform augmented soft tissue mobilization (ASTYM), Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs), and is trained in the application of kinesiotaping as well. She joined our KORT team in 2004.
Tiffany Rodgers OTR/L is a 2005 graduate from Eastern Kentucky University in Occupational Therapy. She has also completed graduate classes at Drexel University, with a certificate in Rehabilitation of the Hand and Upper Extremities. Tiffany enjoys making custom braces and working with orthopedic injuries. Tiffany joined our KORT team in 2009.
