KORT is Kentucky's premier provider of outpatient physical and occupational therapy specializing in orthopedics, sports and industrial medicine. Since 1987, KORT has provided clinical and customer service excellence to patients in our centers, at employer sites and with high school, college and professional sports teams.

We are pleased to offer patients access to our specialized CoreVia Pelvic Health program. CoreVia provides care - and relief - to men, women and children who experience pelvic floor dysfunction. Our highly skilled pelvic health physical therapists will help you feel your best.

Our Team

Deric Parrish, P.T., DPT, Center Director

Deric joined our team in 2012. He earned his doctorate of physical therapy degree from Bellarmine University in 2011 after earning a bachelor's degree in health science from Bellarmine University in 2009. Deric's clinical interests include a variety of injuries in the adolescent and youth population, aquatic therapy, orthopedics and manual therapy of the spine, shoulder and knee. He has completed training in SFMA evaluations, manual therapy of the upper quarter, functional movement screens (FMS), dry needling and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM).

Melissa Hawkins, P.T., DPT, GCS

Melissa joined our team in 2009. Melissa earned her doctorate of physical therapy from Bellarmine University after earning a bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University. Her clinical interests include orthopedics and manual therapy of the spine and shoulder. In addition, Melissa is certified in vestibular rehabilitation and SFMA evaluations.

Matthew Simmons, P.T., DPT

Matthew received a bachelor's degree in human health sciences from UK in 2015 and joined KORT in August 2021. He graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2018 with his doctorate of physical therapy. Originally from Elizabethtown, Matthew enjoys helping people achieve their rehabilitation and fitness goals, but has a particular interest in treating athletes and orthopedic injuries. He enjoys playing basketball, working out, cheering on the Wildcats and spending quality time with friends and family.

Kristi Johnson, PTA

Kristi has been with KORT since 2008. She graduated from West Kentucky Community and Technical College in December 2012 with an associate degree in applied science. Kristi is certified in vestibular rehabilitation, IASTM, ReVital cancer rehabilitation and also has been trained to perform post-offer employment testing for multiple employers in Central Kentucky. She enjoys working with a variety of orthopedic patients, particularly lower extremity injuries and athletes, as well as patients living with cancer. In her spare time, Kristi enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and dog, as well as playing volleyball, working out and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats!

Tammy Bradley, PTA

Tammy graduated from Jefferson Community and Technical College in May of 2011 with her physical therapy assistant degree. She has always worked in the outpatient field and enjoys performing manual techniques and working with amputees. She resides in Hodgenville with her husband, Terry. The couple has four grown children and five grandchildren. In her free time, Tammy enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
