Success Stories

Sara Duerr

Sara "Ann" Duerr started with simple goals. After tripping and falling on multiple occasions, Ann simply wanted to walk without feeling unsteady and improve her strength and confidence. Feeling off balance, Ann's own sense in mobility was threatened. After enlisting the expertise of Physical Therapist Ashley Johnson, her physical therapy program would help Ann reduce her risk of injury, increase her strength and restore her confidence. "Physical therapy was not easy," she said. "I could not believe how poorly I did on simple tasks." Ashley helped Ann make progress. Ann's hard work and perseverance paid off as she made gains toward her rehabilitation goals. "I have been discharged with exercises to do at home," she said. "They have given me the support, instructions and techniques to move with more confidence." We are excited to hear of your accomplishments, Ann. Thank you for choosing us on your rehabilitation journey.

Robert Towler

After his retirement as a hospital administrator, Robert discovered he needed a knee replacement. His surgeon referred him to KORT for post-operative rehabilitation. After having surgery, Robert received physical therapy from our KORT in-home team. As he began to gain strength, mobility and independence, he was seamlessly transitioned to KORT's Old Brownsboro Crossing center and has graduated from physical therapy. "I cannot say enough positive things about the KORT organization, from the friendly receptionists to the encouraging therapists. I understand how individuals could get down and depressed post-operatively during rehabilitation. But with the wonderfully positive folks at KORT, being depressed is not an option. These folks get to know you, understand the physical challenges you face and encourage you to work through these challenges," Robert shared. Thank you for trusting KORT with your care, Robert! We are thrilled you are back on the golf course doing what you love.
