  • Clinic
    KORT Shively Physical Therapy is conveniently located in the Shively Center (the old Dillard's/Bacons' building), south of the intersection of Dixie Highway and the Watterson Expressway(I-264). Our therapists treat a wide range of orthopedic conditions including work injuries, auto accident injuries, sports injuries, back and neck pain, arthritis, pre- and post-surgical rehab, and other conditions. In addition, a wide range of industrial medicine services are offered, as well as anodyne therapy for diabetic neuropathy. We provide a friendly, fun environment, focused on returning you to your normal activity level. We look forward to assisting you with your recovery.

    Kristin Oliverio, PT, DPT
    Kristin Oliverio
    Kristin Oliverio, PT, DPT is the clinic director and joined our KORT team in 2005. She earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University in 2007 and a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky in 2005. Kristin is certified to perform Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs), post-offer employment tests (POET) through AEI, and Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM). She has a certification in vestibular rehabilitation therapy (VRT). Kristin specializes in treating orthopedic and sports medicine injuries, vestibular conditions, and industrial medicine. She enjoys living an active lifestyle and spending time with her family and friends.
    Emily Petro, PT, DPT
    Emily Petro
    Emily received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky in 2011 after graduating with her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2008, also from the University of Kentucky. Emily is originally a native of Louisville but lived up north in New Jersey for two-½ years and recently moved back to Louisville. She joined the KORT team to pursue her interests in orthopedic, work-related and sports-related injuries as well as assisting with fall prevention.
    Kim Holmes, PTA
    Kim Holmes
    Kim has over 25 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She earned her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Jefferson Community College in 1981. She joined the KORT team in 2003 after working for over 20 years at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital. Kim is a certified IASTM provider.
    Kevin Owens, PT, DPT
    Kevin Owens
    Kevin Owens, PT, DPT has a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Regis University (2007) and a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) degree from the University of Louisville (2002). His clinical interest is manual therapy with a focus on treatment of spinal pain and orthopedic injuries.
    Jane Murphy, MHS, OTR/L, CHT
    Jane Murphy
    Jane Murphy, MHS, OTR/L, CHT earned a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Occupational Therapy in 1992 and later, her Master’s from the University of Indianapolis. She specializes in hand therapy and has been certified in Hand Therapy since 1999. She is also certified to perform Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE’s) and has experience in the performance of Post-Offer Employment Tests (POET’s) and the treatment of lymphedema.
    Christine Brightwell, PT, DPT
    Christine Brightwell
    Christine received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Mount St. Joseph University in 2015 after graduating with her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Kinesiology from Miami University in 2011. Christine has been living in Ohio for the past 8 years and has now moved back to Louisville where she is originally from. Christine joined our KORT team in 2015 and is interested in pursuing training and specialty in Orthopedics and Vestibular Rehab.
    Naomi Sprigler, MS, ATC
    Naomi Sprigler
    Naomi Sprigler, MS, ATC, is nationally certified with the Board of Certification and state certified with the Kentucky State Board of Medical Licensure. She has a master's degree in Sport Administration from the University of Louisville and a Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training from Purdue University.
    Erica Cersi, ATC
    Erica Cersi
    Erica is certified with the national Board of Certification and licensed through Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure. She graduated from Murray State University with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training. She started at KORT in 2013 as a graduate assistant and moved to full time in 2015.
