Our therapists strive to help you understand your condition, recover the use of affected joints and muscles, and help you return to work and everyday activity. Physical or occupational therapy can reduce pain, promote healing, and restore function and movement while reducing or eliminating the need for drugs or surgery. Our Certified Hand Therapists (CHT) have a minimum of five years of clinical experience, including 4,000 hours or more in direct practice in hand therapy. With aquatic therapy, patients in the initial stages of therapy can start performing non-weight bearing activities sooner than traditional land-based therapy.

In addition, we offer programs for treating specific conditions as well as programs specifically tailored to meet the needs children and adults.

KORT KIDS gives pediatric patients a place to call their own staffed with therapists who truly know how to combine effective therapy with extraordinary fun at each visit. Our Lower Extremity Amputee Program (LEAP) helps prosthetic patients learn to do more than just walk with their artificial limb. Vestibular Rehabilitation is designed to decrease dizziness, improve gaze stabilization, and retrain sensory and motor aspects of postural control due to vestibular dysfunction.

KORT's Fall Prevention Program can reduce the risk of falling and help you avoid the consequences resulting from a fall. Our osteoporosis program is designed to slow down or stop bone loss through bone strengthening exercises, balance training, core strengthening, and spinal decompression exercises. Lymphedema Treatment involves manual lymph drainage, compressive wrapping, therapeutic exercise and patient education, and can reduce swelling caused by cancer treatment, chronic venous insufficiency, or genetic predisposition.

In addition, we offer electromyography (EMG) testing at many of our clinic locations, which tests the electrical activity of muscles. Often performed with a test that measures the conducting function of nerves, called a nerve conduction test, EMG can help diagnose nerve compression or injury, carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica, and other problems of the nerves or muscles.
