Sara Blincoe, MS
Educational Background
Sara
is a graduate of Saint Henry High School where she competed in soccer.
After receiving an athletic and academic scholarship to the University
of Charleston, Sara was a four-year varsity starter. She was chosen
as team captain as a sophomore, junior, and senior. She was named
to the WVIAC All-Conference and All-Region teams all four years.
Sara joined the crew team for fun her freshman
year and her novice boat finished fourth at the Dad Vail Nationals
in 1998.
Academically, Sara majored in Sports Medicine and
Athletic Training. As an athletic trainer, Sara was involved with
every sport at UC. She was the head trainer for the No. 2 ranked
men's basketball team her junior year and women's softball her senior
year.
Sara graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science
degree with an emphasis on Sports Medicine. She graduated from Eastern
Kentucky University in August 2002 with a Master of Science in Physical
Education with a concentration in Exercise Science and Wellness.
After her graduate internship with NovaCare Physical Therapy Acceleration
in Alexandria, Kentucky she moved to Louisville. Before taking the
Director's position for KORT Sports Training Center, she was a full-time
staff member of Caritas and KORT for two years. |
