Our Team

Shana Andres, M.S., OTR/L

Shana is from southern Indiana and earned a bachelor's degree in sociology from Indiana University Southeast. Shana first came to KORT as a patient when she torn her ACL and meniscus during softball practice at IUS. She later attended Spalding University to receive a master's degree in occupational therapy. Shana’s clinical interests include orthopedic injuries and conditions for the upper extremity, specifically of the hand and custom splint fabrication. She is working toward board certification in hand therapy. Shana enjoys spending time camping with her wife, Kim, and their daughter, Drew. They have two dogs, Basil and Diogi, and a beta fish named Rosie.

Chloe Crowell, OTD, OTR/L

Chloe graduated with her doctorate in occupational therapy from Huntington University. Her clinical interests include orthopedic conditions and sport injuries specific to the hand the upper extremity. Chloe is working toward board certification in hand therapy, and is an active member of the American Society of Hand Therapists. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and family.

Andrew Ford, P.T., DPT

Andrew earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Kentucky and a doctorate in physical therapy from Bellarmine University. His clinical interests are orthopedics and sports-related injuries. Andrew enjoys playing golf and volleyball, working out, spending time with family and friends and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats and Cleveland Browns.

Steven Hnat, P.T., DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Steven is from Southern Indiana and received a doctorate degree in physical therapy from The Ohio State University. He completed Select Medical's Orthopedic Residency and became board certified in orthopedics. He also completed a clinical fellowship from Regis University in manual physical therapy. He enjoys spending time outside with his wife Tara and their three children.

Paul Lonnemann, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, MTC

Paul received his bachelor’s in physical therapy from U of L and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine. Paul is board certified in orthopaedics (OCS), and manual therapy certified (MTC). He has fellow status with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). Paul lives with his wife Elaine, also a physical therapist, and four boys in Starlight, Indiana.

Erin McLeland, PT, DPT

Erin is native to Southern Indiana and a graduate of Indiana University DPT program. She was introduced to this profession due to multiple injuries sustained as a multi-sport athlete. Through her education she has come to enjoy working with all patients, but especially the geriatric population. In her free time, she loves to play volleyball, hang out with family/friends, and root for the Indianapolis Colts and the Purdue Boilermakers. She looks forward to growing her career with the KORT family and playing an active role in helping patients achieve their goals.

Ashley Pait, P.T., DPT

Ashley earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Transylvania University and doctorate in physical therapy from Bellarmine University. In her free time, she enjoys running, kayaking, playing basketball, hanging out with family/friends and participating in a variety of activities with her church community.

Jennifer Pohlman, M.S., LAT, ATC

Jennifer received a bachelor's degree in athletic training in 2018 from Clarke University and master's degree in Kinesiology with emphasis in athletic training in 2021 from Indiana University. She served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Contemporary Dance, Jacob’s School of Music, Marching Hundred and RedStepper Dance team. Additionally, she worked as the head athletic trainer for the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps over the last three seasons, as well as an intern athletic trainer for Barton College. Her passion lies within the performing arts, and is excited to work closely with the professional dancers at Louisville Ballet. Jennifer enjoys traveling, cooking, cuddling her dog Bella and teaching group exercise.

David Wright, PT

David is a 1996 graduate of Indiana University Physical Therapy Program. He has practiced in a variety of settings with an emphasis in outpatient orthopedics, work injury prevention, rehabilitation management and functional testing. His focus has been in Industrial Medicine with training in FCE, Functional Job Analysis, Job Descriptions, Pre-work Screening, Ergonomic Assessments and Work Conditioning Programs. David's mission is to bring evidence-based medicine together with prevention principles, rehabilitation practices and return-to-work philosophies in order to enhance worker, employer and provider capabilities in occupational health and injury management.

Ruth Ann Allen, ATC

Ruth Ann is starting her 35th year working as an ATC. She earned a bachelor's degree in physical and health education K-12 in 1981 and master's degree in athletic training in 1986 from Indiana University. Ruth Ann's employment has included working 26 years at the high school level, six years with Indiana University aquatics and several opportunities on medical staffs with USA Swimming.

Kristen Semrow, ATC

Kristen is in her first year as an athletic trainer at Indiana University Southeast through KORT, providing care for the intercollegiate varsity sports. Kristen has worked with various levels of both collegiate and high school athletics. Her previous roles included working as an athletic trainer for Louisville Collegiate High School, King University and Asbury University as a graduate assistant. Kristen graduated in 2016 from Winona State University with a bachelor's degree in athletic training and in 2018 from University of Kentucky with a master’s degree in athletic training. She resides in Louisville and enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as going for runs in her neighborhood.

Elizabeth Mattson, ATC

Elizabeth is a native of southwest Virginia and has been working as a certified athletic trainer at New Albany High School since 2008. She is a graduate of Messiah College and has a master’s degree in exercise physiology from the University of Louisville. She enjoys working with high school athletes with specific interest in athlete mental health and lower extremity biomechanics. When not working, Elizabeth enjoys traveling, running, and reading.

Bricen Walker, ATC

Bricen was born and raised in the military so he doesn't claim a true home town. Walker obtained a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology at The University of Texas at El Paso and master’s degree in athletic training at Bellarmine University. In his spare time, he loves to watch movies and Boston Celtics basketball games.
