KORT Bryan Station is conveniently located in the Kroger Shopping Center at the intersection of New Circle and Bryan Station Roads. We're only minutes from I-64, I-75 and downtown Lexington.

We treat orthopedic physical therapy with a strong emphasis on manual physical therapy, functional activity restoration and individualized care. Our proven techniques benefit a wide range of individuals suffering from injuries or pain associated with work, auto accident, back and neck or peripheral joint problems (involving the shoulder, elbow, hand, hip, knee, foot and ankle), dizziness and sports injuries.

Specialty services offered at this center include Recovery and Reconditioning for COVID-19, vestibular rehabilitation, men's and women's pelvic health, amputee rehabilitation, lymphedema rehabilitation, hand therapy, ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation, work conditioning, functional capacity evaluations, poest-offer employment testing and dry needling.

Bryan James, P.T., DPT, OCS, Center Director

Bryan is a two-time graduate from the University of Kentucky. He earned a doctorate of physical therapy in 2014 after completing a duel degree in biology and chemistry in 2010. He is an active member of both the American physical therapy association and the Kentucky physical therapy association. His special interests include general orthopedics, manual therapy and sports-specific care. He is a Kentucky native and enjoys weightlifting, sports, music and traveling.

Chris Kaczmarek, P.T., DPT, OCS, CSCS

Chris earned a doctorate of physical therapy from Regis University in 2008 and master's degree in physical therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 1999. With more than 15 years of clinical expertise, Chris has vast experience in treating all areas of orthopedics and is a board-certified specialist in orthopedics.

Michael Hopper, P.T., DPT, OCS

Michael earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2011 and doctorate of physical therapy in 2015 from the University of Kentucky. He is a member of the orthopedic section of the American Physical Therapy Association. Michael's clinical interests include manual therapy, prosthetics, sports-related injuries, working with individuals with neurologic conditions and orthopedics.

Philip Dale, P.T., DPT, OCS

Philip earned a doctorate of physical therapy in 2018 and bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2014 from the University of Kentucky. His clinical interests include orthopedics, manual therapy, vestibular rehabilitation and management of patients with headache disorders.

Ellen Ward, P.T., DPT

Ellen obtained a bachelor's degree in human health sciences and doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Kentucky. Her clinical interests are performing arts, pelvic health and pediatrics. Ellen grew up as a studio dancer and later danced for UK. She treats dancers of all ages and skill levels, including professionals at the Louisville Ballet. Ellen has her level 1A and 2A pelvic floor certification through Herman and Wallace and treats men and women for various pelvic health dysfunctions. Her hobbies include traveling, going on hikes and wedding videography.

Ben Luzar, P.T., DPT

Ben earned a doctorate of physical therapy from Duke University and bachelor's degree in physiology from Alma College where he played lacrosse. Ben's passion for physical therapy arises from a fascination with human movement and the opportunity to serve others while helping them return to participation in what matters to them most. Ben enjoys being involved in church, exercise, fishing/outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Mark Hopkins, M.S., OTR/L

Mark received a bachelor's degree in physical education in 2017 and master's degree in occupational therapy in 2020 from Eastern Kentucky University. His professional interests include fabricating custom orthotics and upper extremity post-operative and non-operative rehabilitation. He is passionate about teaching patients how to become more independent and improving their quality of life.
