KORT Bryan Station is conveniently located in the Kroger Shopping Center at the intersection of New Circle and Bryan Station Roads. We're only minutes from I-64, I-75 and downtown Lexington.

We offer orthopedic physical therapy with a strong emphasis on hands-on care, functional activity restoration and individualized treatment. Our proven techniques benefit a wide range of individuals suffering from injuries or pain associated with work, auto accident, back and neck or peripheral joint problems (involving the shoulder, elbow, hand, hip, knee, foot and ankle), dizziness and sports injuries.

We are pleased to offer patients access to our specialized CoreVia Pelvic Health program. CoreVia provides care - and relief - to men, women and children who experience pelvic floor dysfunction. Our highly skilled pelvic health physical therapists will help you feel your best.

Additional specialty services offered at this center include Recovery and Reconditioning for COVID-19, vestibular rehabilitation, amputee rehabilitation, lymphedema rehabilitation, hand therapy, ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation, work conditioning, functional capacity evaluations, post-offer employment testing and dry needling.

Our Team

Bryan James, P.T., DPT, OCS, Center Director

Bryan is a two-time graduate from the University of Kentucky. He earned a doctorate of physical therapy in 2014 after completing a duel degree in biology and chemistry in 2010. He is an active member of both the American physical therapy association and the Kentucky physical therapy association. His special interests include general orthopedics, manual therapy and sports-specific care. He is a Kentucky native and enjoys weightlifting, sports, music and traveling.

Chris Kaczmarek, P.T., DPT, OCS, CSCS

Chris earned a doctorate of physical therapy from Regis University in 2008 and master's degree in physical therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 1999. With more than 15 years of clinical expertise, Chris has vast experience in treating all areas of orthopedics and is a board-certified specialist in orthopedics.

Sara Hulker, P.T., DPT, OCS, CSCS

Sara has been with KORT at the Georgetown and Paris locations since 2015. She transitioned to KORT Bryan Station in 2024. She received her bachelor's degree in exercise science from Indiana State University and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis. She is board certified in orthopedics and is certified in musculoskeletal ultrasound, post-offer employment testing, dry needling and vestibular rehabilitation. She is currently a resident in electrodiagnostic including Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) and Electromyography (EMG). In her spare time, she enjoys hiking at Cave Run and keeping up with her toddler.

Michael Hopper, P.T., DPT, OCS

Michael earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2011 and doctorate of physical therapy in 2015 from the University of Kentucky. He is a member of the orthopedic section of the American Physical Therapy Association. Michael's clinical interests include manual therapy, prosthetics, sports-related injuries, working with individuals with neurologic conditions and orthopedics.

Ellen Ward-Vogt, P.T., DPT, OCS

Ellen obtained a bachelor's degree in human health sciences and doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Kentucky. Her clinical interests are performing arts, pelvic health and pediatrics. Ellen grew up as a studio dancer and later danced for UK. She treats dancers of all ages and skill levels, including professionals at the Louisville Ballet. Ellen has her pelvic floor certification through Herman and Wallace and treats men and women for various pelvic health dysfunctions. Her hobbies include traveling, going on hikes and wedding videography.

Ben Luzar, P.T., DPT

Ben earned a doctorate of physical therapy from Duke University and bachelor's degree in physiology from Alma College where he played lacrosse. Ben's passion for physical therapy arises from a fascination with human movement and the opportunity to serve others while helping them return to participation in what matters to them most. Ben enjoys being involved in church, exercise, fishing/outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Mark Hopkins, M.S., OTR/L

Mark received a bachelor's degree in physical education in 2017 and master's degree in occupational therapy in 2020 from Eastern Kentucky University. His professional interests include fabricating custom orthotics and upper extremity post-operative and non-operative rehabilitation. He is passionate about teaching patients how to become more independent and improving their quality of life.
