Our Team

Jennifer Byrne, P.T., DPT, Center Manager

Jennifer been providing physical therapy since 1997. She is a graduate from the University of Evansville with a master's degree in physical therapy. She began her career after completing a physical therapist assistant degree from Midway College. She serves as an advisory board member of the University of Evansville physical therapy/physical therapy assistant program. She was recognized for her outstanding contribution to her profession and awarded the Richard V. McDougall Award "Fledgling Award" by the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Kentucky Physical Therapy Association. An Owensboro native, she is an active member of the Owensboro Chamber of Commerce and a UK football season ticket holder.

Aaron Flaherty, P.T., DPT, OCS

Aaron earned a doctorate of physical therapy and bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Kentucky. His clinical interests lie in the treatment of orthopedic and sports medicine injuries. He likes camping, golfing, traveling, ping pong and flag football. He is active in Our Lady of Lourdes church.

Sam Knott, P.T., DPT

Sam has been with KORT since July 2017. He was born and raised in Sorgho, KY and earned undergraduate and doctorate degrees at Western Kentucky University. He enjoys working out, coaching soccer and working on his family's farm.

Ryan Clark, P.T., DPT

Ryan received a bachelor's degree in public health from the University of Kentucky in 2018. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Ryan worked as a student athletic trainer for the University of Kentucky's football, men's basketball and track and field/cross country teams. After his two-year stint with the men's basketball team, he received the Bill Keightley "Assist" Award for the exceptional care he provided to student-athletes. Ryan earned a doctorate in physical therapy in 2022 from the University of Kentucky.

Carey Broughton, M.S., OTR/L, CHT

Carey is an occupational therapist and certified hand therapist. She is credentialed through the Hand Therapy Certification Commission and a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists. Carey has specialized training and advanced clinical skills in the treatment of the hand and upper extremity. She assesses and treats conditions requiring conservative management or post-operative care and provides customized splinting in order to restore or maximize function of the hand, wrist and upper extremity. Conditions she treats include arthritis, repetitive motion injuries, fractures, tendon and nerve repair and more. Carey graduated from Western Kentucky University and Washington University with a master's degree in occupational therapy. She lives in Owensboro with her husband and their two children.

Windy Willey, PTA

Windy is originally from northern Illinois and relocated to Owensboro in 1996. She earned an associate's degree as a physical therapy assistant in 2006 from Madisonville Community College. Windy began her career in outpatient physical therapy and has maintained a part-time position in a long-term care facility since 2006. She is a proud mother of two, an enthusiastic grandmother and enjoys the outdoors and exercising at the local gym.

Chelsea Rice, PTA

Chelsea graduated from KCTCS Madisonville with an associate degree in physical therapy assistant. Chelsea has been a member of our KORT team since May 2011. She likes to play tennis.
