KORT Richmond is conveniently located at 5006 Atwood Drive, Suite 2 (on the Robert R. Martin By-Pass across from Toyota South). We treat orthopedic physical therapy with a strong emphasis on hands-on physical therapy, functional activity restoration and individualized care. Our proven techniques benefit a wide range of individuals suffering from injuries or pain associated with work, auto accident, back and neck and more.

We are pleased to offer patients access to our specialized CoreVia Pelvic Health program. CoreVia provides care - and relief - to men, women and children who experience pelvic floor dysfunction. Our highly skilled pelvic health physical therapists will help you feel your best.

Our Team

Nick George, P.T., DPT, OCS, Center Director

Nick earned a bachelor's of science degree in kinesiology and exercise science and went on to receive a doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Kentucky. He is residency-trained in orthopedic physical therapy and the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties has designated him as an orthopedic clinical specialist. He possesses certification in dry needling and treats a variety of orthopedic conditions. His clinical interests include sports and orthopedic rehabilitation, manual therapy, and pain management. Originally from Lexington, he is a lifelong University of Kentucky fan and enjoys fishing, golfing and spending time with his wife, Beth.

Amy Thoroughman, P.T., MSPT

Amy graduated from University of Kentucky in 2007. She attended Morehead State University for undergraduate training in biology and exercise physiology before finishing her education at University of Kentucky. Her clinical interests include pelvic health physical therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, orthopedics and manual therapy. Amy enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin, and two daughters, Autumn and Erin.

Gena Howell-Sharp, P.T., DPT

Gena earned her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Kentucky in 2016. She has taken continuing education courses in McKenzie and Maitland concepts, dry needling, shoulder and knee topics. Gena enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic diagnoses, especially of spinal origin. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, spending time outdoors hiking and still water kayaking, as well as caring for indoor/outdoor plants.

Lindsey Harvey, OTR/L, CHT

Lindsey earned a master's degree in occupational therapy from Eastern Kentucky University in 2018. She is a certified hand therapist specialized in treatment of the upper extremity including fractures, nerve compressions, overuse disorders, tendinopathies, arthritis and custom splint fabrication. She also has special interest in pelvic health and postpartum care. Lindsey enjoys spending time with her husband and son on their family farm.

Jon Huff, PTA, CSCS

Jon is a 2018 graduate from the Somerset Community College physical therapy assistant program. Prior to becoming a physical therapy assistant, he earned a master's of science in exercise and wellness from Eastern Kentucky University, where he assisted the strength and conditioning department with all sports. His clinical interests are orthopedic and sports medicine, as well as aquatic therapy. Jon enjoys working out and spending time with his wife and son.

Brad Cook, PTA, CSCS

Brad graduated from the Somerset Community College Physical Therapist Assistant Program in 2021. He previously earned a master's degree in physical education from Eastern Kentucky University in 2016. His clinical interests include orthopedic and sports medicine, as well as chronic pain management. Brad enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and son, as well as training for amateur strongman competitions.
