KORT is Kentucky's premier provider of outpatient physical and occupational therapy specializing in orthopaedics, sports and industrial medicine. Since 1987, KORT has provided clinical and customer service excellence to patients in our centers, at employer sites and with high school, college and professional sports teams. Our extended center hours offer you the flexibility of before work or after work appointments. With the convenience of same-day or next-day appointments, you can begin your recovery right away. In addition to treating a variety of general outpatient orthopedic diagnoses, we also offer electromyography (EMG), nerve conduction studies (NCS) and musculoskeletal ultrasound to aid in the diagnosis and rehabilitation of our patients.
Luke Brohm, P.T., DPT, OCS, Center Director
Luke was born and raised in south Louisville. He earned a bachelor's degrees from the University of Louisville in 2015 where he was a member of the football team. He earned a doctorate of physical therapy in 2018 from the University of Kentucky. He completed an orthopedic residency program in 2021 and is board-certified in orthopedics. He enjoys empowering patients to improve the quality of their lives. Luke and his wife are proud parents of a young son and daughter. He enjoys spending time with family, physical activity, spending time outdoors and food.
Daniel Brussell, P.T., DPT
Daniel is originally from Bardstown, KY and attended Western Kentucky University where he earned a bachelor's degree in biology and doctorate of physical therapy. Daniel's clinical interests include orthopedic and sports medicine, in addition to hands-on therapy. Daniel enjoys playing with his dogs, playing guitar, fishing, hiking and watching college sports.
Sydney Roby, P.T., DPT
Sydney is a south Louisville native who resides in Bullitt County. She earned a bachelor's degree in 2017 from Kentucky Wesleyan College where she was a member of the women's basketball team. Sydney graduated with a doctorate in physical therapy in 2022 from the University of Bellarmine. Her clinical interest includes working with the geriatric population and orthopedic conditions. Sydney enjoys taking her dogs on hikes, exercising and spending time with family and friends.
Travis Huellemeier, P.T., DPT
Travis is originally from Lebanon, KY and now resides in Louisville, KY. He earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Western Kentucky University in 2020 and worked with WKU's Sports Medicine team for two and a half years. He earned a doctorate of physical therapy in 2023 from Bellarmine University. Travis's clinical interests include orthopedic conditions, sports-related injury rehabilitation and post-operative care. He hopes to earn Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) certification to increase his depth of knowledge and use new skills for advanced care with the golfing population. He also plans to earn certifications in manual therapy techniques and orthopedics. Travis enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf, watching sports and supporting the Baltimore Ravens.
Brandi Wolf, M.S., OTR/L, CHT, COMT-UL
Brandi is a Louisville native and resides in Bullitt county. She earned a masters degree in occupational therapy in 2017 from Spalding University and bachelor's degree in health and human performance in 2014 from the University of Louisville. She is a certified hand therapist and certified orthopedic manual therapist for the upper limb. Brandi also has a passion for pelvic rehab and women's health and is proud to offer this service. She is passionate about empowering patients with knowledge and resources to improve their quality of life. Brandi enjoys running and spending time with family.
Nicole McCubbins Taylor, PTA
Nicole is a native of Shepherdsville and proud graduate of Bullitt Central High School. In 2009, she earned an associate's degree as a physical therapist assistant from Jefferson Community and Technical College. Nicole spent her first five years after graduation as an inpatient therapist and transitioned to outpatient therapy in 2014. Nicole's clinical interests include orthopedics and geriatrics. She and her husband are proud parents of their six-year-old daughter and three-year-old son. They enjoy spending time outdoors with their dog.
Michaela Ballback, PTA
Michaela earned an associate degree of applied science as a physical therapist assistant and has been a member of our KORT team since 2015. Her professional interests include orthopedics, sports medicine and aquatics. Michaela enjoys cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, Kentucky Wildcats basketball and the Atlanta Braves. She loves cruising in her Jeep and being outdoors with family and friends. She is part of Casting for Recovery, teaching women who have or are in remission from breast cancer to fly fish. Michaela is an active member and CF-OL1 at her gym, CrossFit Golden Warrior. Michaela enjoys spending time with her husband and fur-baby.
