    KORT Physical Therapy Richmond is conveniently located at 5006 Atwood Drive, Suite 2 (on the Robert R.Martin By-Pass across from Toyota South). With a long-standing reputation for being the premier sports medicine rehab facility in the area, we also offer a wide variety of rehab and preventative therapy services including neck and back pain, work related injuries, Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs), work conditioning, post-operative conditioning, and other musculoskeletal conditions. We provide a friendly, fun environment focused on returning you quickly to the activity level you wish to attain.

    Amy Thoroughman, PT, MSPT, Clinic Director
    Amy Thoroughman
    Amy graduated from University of Kentucky in 2007. She attended Morehead State University for undergraduate training in Biology and Exercise Physiology before transferring to UK to complete undergraduate degree and graduate degree from UK. Her clinical interests include pelvic health physical therapy, vestibular rehab, orthopedics and manual therapy. After graduation, she worked in Tennessee and Ohio before returning to Kentucky in 2015. In her free time, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband Kevin and two daughters Autumn and Erin. She also has a fur baby, yellow mini labradoodle Olive.
    Keith Bumgardner, PT, DPT
    Keith Bumgardner
    Keithgraduated from East Carolina University in 2017 and is originally from Gastonia, North Carolina. Keith has a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. His clinical interests include sports rehabilitation, manual therapy, orthopedic conditions, and geriatrics. In his free time, Keith enjoys working out, cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats and Green Bay Packers, going to the movies, and the outdoors.
    Nick George, PT, DPT
    Nick George
    Nick earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Kentucky in 2017. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science. His clinical interests include sports and orthopedic rehabilitation, manual therapy, and treatment of neck/back pain. Originally from Lexington, he is an avid UK fan, and enjoys watching games, fishing and playing golf.
    Jon Huff, PTA, CSCS
    Jon Huff
    Jon is a graduate from the Somerset Community College PTA Program. Prior to becoming a PTA, he earned his Master of Science in Exercise and Wellness from Eastern Kentucky University, where he assisted the Strength and Conditioning department with all sports. His clinical interests are orthopedic and sports rehab, manual therapy and geriatrics. In his free time, Jon enjoys working out and spending time with his wife.
    Jennifer Mason, ATC
    Jennifer Mason
    Jennifer, originally from Rhode Island, joined KORT after earning her Bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Eastern Kentucky University. She resides in Richmond, KY while providing athletic training services for Garrard County High School. She was an avid soccer and lacrosse player and loves hockey. She has two dogs and in her free time enjoys hiking, baking, and reading. When she’s not doing ATC duties, “I’m usually with my two dogs, either chasing them up a trail or kicking the counter surfers out of kitchen”.
    Neil Patel, DPT
    Neil Patel
    Neil graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Kinesiology degree, and then from University of South Florida in 2018 with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. His clinical interests include orthopedic conditions along with sports rehabilitation in particular football and basketball related injuries. Neil enjoys playing basketball, working out, and hanging with friends in his free time. He is also a fanatic about Kentucky basketball.
