    KORT Valley Station Physical Therapy Therapy is located at 10631 Dixie Highway, near the Gene Snyder Freeway, in the same shopping center as Kroger.

    We specialize in all areas of orthopedic physical therapy,including spinal conditions, sports medicine, work conditioning, guasha, and many other conditions.

    Melinda "Mindy" Higgins, PT, DPT
    Melinda Mindy Hayes
    Mindy is the clinic director and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Bellarmine University in 2008 after completing a bachelor's in Health Sciences in 2007. Mindy is vestibular certified and has special clinical interests in the treatment of lower-extremity orthopedic injuries as well as sports medicine. She joined our KORT team in 2009.
    Emily Clark, PT, DPT, OCS
    Emily Clark
    Emily earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from the University of Kentucky. Emily is certified in Dry Needling. She is also the program director of the KORT Personalized Orthopedic Weight Reduction (POWR) Program, a healthy lifestyle program aimed at addressing the national obesity epidemic. Emily is committed to treating orthopedic conditions and improving overall health and wellness.
    Wesley Newman, PT, DPT
    Wesley Newman
    Wesley is from Frankfort, KY, and graduated from Western Hills High School. He attended the University of Louisville where he received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2012 and his Master of Science in Exercise Physiology in 2016. Wes graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Bellarmine University in 2020. He has experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, sports injury prevention and conditioning, and outpatient care. His clinical interests include sports medicine, general orthopedics, as well as cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. Wes has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 2017. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his fiancée and two dogs, hiking, playing soccer and attending Louisville City FC games.
    William D. Eisner, PT, MSPT, ECS
    William D. Eisner
    Bill Eisner has a Bachelor of Health Science and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) degree from the University of Kentucky. He is a board certified in clinical electrophysiology (ECS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy (APTA). A member of our KORT team since 1997, he is currently a doctoral candidate in the clinical electrophysiology program at Rocky Mountain University. Bill practices exclusively in clinical electrophysiology and coordinates and supervises the EMG/NCS practice within KORT. As one of just a few hundred therapists in the nation specializing in EMG, Bill Eisner has a rare perspective on what KORT offers patients with disorders such as neuromuscular diseases, motor problems, nerve root injuries, and muscle degeneration.
    R.J. Romero, ATC
    R.J. Romero
    R.J. is a native of Louisville. He is a 1994 graduate of Bellarmine University with a B.A. in Psychology. He has been Kentucky State Certified since 1996 and BOC certified since 1999. He is a member of both the National Athletic Trainers Association and Kentucky Athletic Trainers Society. R.J. has worked Minor League Hockey with the Louisville Riverfrogs, Minor League Baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals and various local High Schools including Eastern, Male and St. Xavier High Schools. He enjoys cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, spending time with his wife and daughter, golfing and going to classic car shows.
