    Patient Testimonial - Mary Shepherd

Since beginning the POWR program in January at KORT Mt. Washington with Kelsey Robinson, PT, DPT, Mary has made great strides towards a healthier lifestyle. With hard work and dedication, Mary has lost over 30 pounds and is continuing to lose! She is now a candidate for a total knee replacement, has a decrease in her blood pressure, and has dropped three pants sizes. She continues to work out at her home and at the nearest YMCA to better prepare for her knee surgery.

This program is covered by most insurance plans, especially when being overweight or obese is secondary to a common orthopedic problem such as joint pain or back pain. Your physician can refer you to this program if you have a primary orthopedic condition and an associated problem of overweight/obesity.
