Marylee's Story

Hand

Marylee Camp had a childhood injury that left her with diminished function of her right hand. With the help of Juliet Steffe, OTD, OTR/L, CHT, at KORT J-Town, within a week Marylee was able to shake hands with her right hand for the first time in her life.

She now has the ability to type with both hands, lift an average amount of weight, easily fasten her seat belt, use her gear selector with her right hand and has even started playing the piano.

“Throughout my time at KORT, Juliet was both my coach and my cheerleader. She pushed me to achieve more than I thought I could, then celebrated each milestone with me. I enjoyed seeing everyone at KORT so much that I was a little sad to leave, though I’m excited to move through the next part of my journey and continue to improve.”
