KORT is Kentucky's premier provider of outpatient physical and occupational therapy specializing in orthopedics, sports and industrial medicine. Since 1987, KORT has provided clinical and customer service excellence to patients in our centers, at employer sites and with high school, college and professional sports teams.
We are pleased to offer patients access to our specialized CoreVia Pelvic Health program. CoreVia provides care - and relief - to men, women and children who experience pelvic floor dysfunction. Our highly skilled pelvic health physical therapists will help you feel your best.
Our extended center hours offer you the flexibility of before work or after work appointments. With the convenience of same-day or next-day appointments, you can begin your recovery right away. Crystal Joice, P.T., DPT, Center Director
Crystal is the center director and graduated from Bellarmine in 2008 with a doctorate of physical therapy and bachelor's degree in health science and a minor in biology. Crystal is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Kentucky Physical Therapy Association. Crystal is certified in dry needling, trained in Functional Movement Screen and Selective Functional Movement Assessment, and is a certified ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation therapist working with oncology patients. Crystal is a certified Personalized Orthopedic Weight Reduction (POWR) coach, a healthy lifestyle program aimed at addressing the national obesity epidemic, and is the POWR champion for KORT. Her clinical interests include pediatrics, aquatic therapy, sports medicine, orthopedic injuries, manual therapy and vestibular rehabilitation. Crystal enjoys returning people to their best quality of life, spending time with family and friends and traveling.
Jessica Pierce, P.T., DPT
Jessica graduated from the University of Findlay in 2019 with a doctorate in physical therapy and Transylvania University with a bachelor's degree in exercise science. Prior to her graduation from Findlay, Jessica had been a physical therapist assistant at KORT since 2013. She is trained in Functional Movement Screens and a certified POWR coach. Her clinical interests include sports medicine, orthopedics, manual therapy techniques and vestibular rehabilitation. She enjoys assisting others in achieving their goals and making positive gains in their overall health. Jessica enjoy watching hockey and baseball, reading, traveling to the beach and spending time with her two dogs.
Melissa Reed, P.T., DPT, CHT
Melissa graduated from Georgia State University in 2012 with a doctorate of physical therapy and the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science. Melissa received certification in hand therapy in 2017. She is also certified in dry needling. Melissa is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the American Society of Hand Therapists. Her clinical interests include hand therapy, orthopedic injuries, sports medicine and manual therapy. Melissa enjoys spending time with family and running.
Emmy Klump, P.T., DPT
Emmy graduated from the University of Michigan in 2019 with a doctorate in physical therapy and the University of Kentucky with a bachelor's degree in human health science. Emmy is a Crestwood native and attended Oldham County High School. Her clinical interests are sports medicine and orthopedics. Emmy is certified in blood flow restriction therapy, dry needling and cupping. Emmy enjoys spending time with family and friends, being active and traveling.
Justin Wiech, P.T., DPT
Justin graduated from Bellarmine University in 2021 with a doctorate in physical therapy. Justin is a Crestwood native and attended Trinity High School prior to attending the University of Louisville where he played volleyball and earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science. His clinical interests include working with athletes in sport-specific training, return to sport testing, sports medicine and orthopedics. Justin is a sports enthusiast who likes to play and coach volleyball, lead Youth Group at Saint Bernadette and spend time with family and friends.
Rachel Riggs, P.T.
Rachel graduated from Jefferson Community & Technical College in 2014 with an associate degree in physical therapy. She grew up in Jeffersontown and went to Jeffersontown High School. Her clinical interests are sports medicine and orthopedics. She is certified in myofascial cupping, kinesio taping and blood flow restriction. Rachel loves to spend time with family whether at home, the beach or the lake.
