KORT - Fountain Court, conveniently located off Blazer Parkway in the Kentucky Bone and Joint Surgeons Building on the second floor, is Kentucky's premier provider of outpatient physical and occupational therapy specializing in orthopedics, sports and industrial medicine.

Since 1987, KORT has provided clinical and customer service excellence to patients in our centers, at employer sites, and with high school, college and professional sports teams. Our extended center hours offer you the flexibility of before work or after work appointments. With the convenience of same-day or next-day appointments, you can begin your recovery right away.

Our Team

Laura Williams, P.T., DPT, OCS, COMT, Center Director

Laura earned a doctorate of physical therapy in 2015 from the University of Kentucky and dual bachelor's degrees in 2012 from Western Kentucky University in biology and religious studies. In 2017, Laura completed KORT's Orthopedic Residency program and earned board certification in orthopedics. Her clinical interests include hands-on therapy, orthopedic conditions of the shoulder and cervical spine, cancer rehabilitation and sports-related injuries and injury prevention. She is a CrossFit Level-1 Trainer and certified clinical athlete weightlifting coach. She is committed to providing individualized patient care in order to help patients meet their return to activity goals. Laura enjoys being active outdoors, hiking, working out at CrossFit Maximus and spending time with family, friends and her dog, Bo.

Whitney Ressett, P.T., DPT, OCS

Whitney is originally from Providence, KY. She earned a doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Kentucky and undergraduate degree in biology from Murray State University. Whitney's clinical interests include geriatrics and orthopedic rehabilitation. She enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends.

Eric Gilland, P.T., DPT

Eric is originally from New Albany, Indiana but has lived in Lexington since 1998 and considers himself a Lexington native. He earned dual degrees from the University of Kentucky in 2012 in biology and chemistry. He originally planned to pursue a career in medicine, but is glad life had other plans as he met his fiancée working in another career. He has had a myriad of careers that ultimately led him to his true passion in physical therapy. He earned a doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Kentucky in 2023 and has a passion for hands on physical therapy in general orthopedics and sports medicine. When not working, Eric enjoys golfing, watching movies and spending time with his fiancée, friends and pets.
