Our Team

Tara Buckles, P.T., DPT, Center Director

Tara is originally from Louisville, Ky. She attended the University of Kentucky where she earned a bachelor's degree in biology in 2015 and a doctorate in physical therapy in 2018. Her clinical interests include orthopedic and pelvic floor rehabilitation. She has done extensive continuing education through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute to learn how to provide care for this population. She spent the first six years of her clinical career treating at KORT in Nicholasville before moving closer to home at Fountain Court. She is passionate about helping each patient reach their individual goals.

Eric Gilland, P.T., DPT, COMT

Originally from New Albany, Ind., Eric has lived in Lexington since 1998 and considers himself a Kentucky native. He earned dual degrees from the University of Kentucky in 2012 in biology and chemistry. He planned to pursue a career in medicine, but is glad life had other plans as he met his fiancé working in another career. Ultimately, he found his vocation in physical therapy. He earned a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Kentucky in 2023 and has a passion for hands-on treatment in general orthopedics and sports medicine.

Amy Thomason, P.T., DPT

Amy is originally from Bowling Green, Ky. She knew she wanted to be a physical therapist from the time she was 10. She achieved that dream in 2024 when she earned her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Kentucky. Prior to that, she attended Western Kentucky University for her undergraduate studies and double-majored in exercise science and Spanish. Amy enjoys working with all populations. Her greatest love is getting people back to performing everyday tasks with greater ease and enjoying their favorite hobbies with less pain.

Hannah Weatherholt

Meet Hannah, an incredible cheerleader who triumphed over knee surgeries with the help of Physical Therapist Laura Williams at our local center. OrthoVive Joint Health

Dedicated to managing discomfort and loss of function, OrthoVive Joint Health meets you where you are in your osteoarthritis, or degenerative joint disease, journey, treating the condition and extending the life of your joint. Our therapists can enhance the results of non-surgical treatments and when surgery is needed, serve as your guide and coach maximizing the use of your new joint. We support your success through pre-operative education, prehabilitation and post-operative care.

Pediatric Therapy

We offer multi-disciplinary pediatric therapy services – physical, occupational, speech therapy – to help children reach developmental milestones and their full potential. Therapy methods are typically given in one-on-one sessions, using play-based activities to gain insight into how a child moves, thinks and expresses themselves. Small group therapy also can be helpful for some children to build social skills and communication. Additional specialized programs, such as feeding therapy, sensory/emotional regulation, toe-walking and torticollis, are also available at select locations. We are committed to providing an exceptional experience that enhances each child's participation in desired family, community and school activities.
