Our Team

Tim Nichol, P.T., OCS, COMT

Tim is our clinic director and has been in practice since 1996. A graduate of the University of Louisville with a degree in physical therapy, Tim has extensive training in spinal rehabilitation. He is certified in augmented soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). An avid cyclist, Tim enjoys working with cycling-related conditions.

Zac Ruppert, P.T., DPT, OCS, COMT

Zac graduated from South College in Knoxville, TN. He grew up in Louisville and attended University of Louisville for his undergraduate education. He enjoys working with young athletes and patients with orthopedic conditions. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, cycling and boating.

Caroline Vaughn, P.T., DPT

Caroline attended Eastern Washington University where she received an undergraduate degree in biology and doctorate of physical therapy. She is fluent in Spanish. She is interested in lower extremity injuries and pursuing further education to specialize in orthopedic injuries. She enjoys rock climbing, hiking and eating out.

Trent Tackett, P.T., DPT

Trent attended the University of Kentucky where he received an undergraduate degree in kinesiology and doctorate of physical therapy. He enjoys working with a variety of orthopedic conditions and sports injuries, with a particular interest in lower extremity injuries. Trent enjoys hiking and playing sports.

Dana Granger, P.T.

Dana graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor of science in biology and from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor of science in physical therapy. He enjoys orthopaedics and balance/vestibular rehabilitation. Dana grew up in Florence, KY, and in his free time, he enjoys traveling, cooking, sports and spending time with family and friends.

Olivia Estill, P.T., DPT

Olivia graduated from Bellarmine University. She grew up in Frankfort, KY, and first became interested in pursuing a physical therapy career while involved in falls prevention and exercise programs for older adults during an AmeriCorps term of service in Washington. Her clinical interests include treating patients with orthopedic injuries and patients experiencing chronic pain. Olivia enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking, traveling and spending time with friends and her dog.

Sam Young, P.T., DPT

Sam is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and received his doctorate of physical therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. He received further training in treating complex, chronic low back pain at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston which is where he developed his passion for treating challenging pain conditions as well as general orthopedic populations. In his free time, he enjoys rock climbing, biking, surfing and traveling.

Kevin Brown, MEd, ATC

Kevin is a native of Port Huron, MI. He graduated in 2006 with a master's degree in Applied Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota & in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine-Athletic Training from Eastern Michigan University. Prior to joining KORT, Kevin was on the Athletic Training staffs at the University of Louisville, the University of Minnesota, & Coastal Carolina University. He serves on the National Athletic Trainers' Association COPA Performing Arts Workgroup & the Select Medical Dance Medicine Advisory Board. Kevin is currently Vice President of the Performing Arts Athletic Trainers' Society & is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, Kentucky Athletic Trainers' Society, the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science, the Performing Arts Medicine Association, & Kinesio Taping Association International.

Ryan Dawson, MAT, ATC

Ryan is a native from Bardstown, KY. He graduated in 2017 with a master's in Athletic Training from the University of Arkansas and in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Western Kentucky University. While obtaining his degrees, Ryan worked with multiple teams including football, basketball, and softball. Additionally, Ryan spent a summer with the University of Louisville. Prior to joining KORT, Ryan worked with amateur and professional athletes. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and is interested in manual therapy and injury prevention techniques to help prevent and rehabilitate musculoskeletal injuries. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys reading, weight training and long-distance running.

Amy Mauro, ATC

Amy is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. She earned a bachelor's degree in athletic training in 2015 from Bowling Green State University and master's degree in 2018 from Central Michigan University. Prior to joining KORT, she worked as a graduate assistant and intern at Central Michigan University. She enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and rock climbing, reading and playing with her dog at the park.
