Our Team

Mindy Higgins, P.T., DPT, COMT, Center Manager

Mindy is a Louisville native. She received a bachelor's degree in 2007 and doctorate in physical therapy in 2008 from Bellarmine. She became vestibular therapy certified in 2013 and obtained certified orthopedic manual therapy recognition in 2021. Mindy's clinical interests include outpatient orthopedic manual therapy, aquatic therapy and lower extremity orthopedic injuries. She spends her time loving on and living life with her husband and three daughters.

Wesley Newman, P.T., DPT, OCS

Wesley attended the University of Louisville and received a bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2012 and master's degree in exercise physiology in 2016. Wes earned a doctorate of physical therapy in 2020 from Bellarmine. He has experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, sports injury prevention and conditioning and outpatient care. His clinical interests include sports medicine, general orthopedics and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. Wes has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2017. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, hiking, playing soccer and attending Louisville City FC games.

Kevin Owens, P.T., DPT

Kevin has a doctorate of physical therapy from Regis University and master's degree in physical therapy from University of Louisville. Kevin has a certification in vestibular rehabilitation therapy. Kevin specializes in treating orthopedic injuries, vestibular conditions and post-concussion syndrome. Kevin enjoys spending time with family and is active in church.

OrthoVive Joint Health

Dedicated to managing discomfort and loss of function, OrthoVive Joint Health meets you where you are in your osteoarthritis, or degenerative joint disease, journey, treating the condition and extending the life of your joint. Our therapists can enhance the results of non-surgical treatments and when surgery is needed, serve as your guide and coach maximizing the use of your new joint. We support your success through pre-operative education, prehabilitation and post-operative care.

Pediatric Therapy

We offer multi-disciplinary pediatric therapy services – physical, occupational, speech therapy – to help children reach developmental milestones and their full potential. Therapy methods are typically given in one-on-one sessions, using play-based activities to gain insight into how a child moves, thinks and expresses themselves. Small group therapy also can be helpful for some children to build social skills and communication. Additional specialized programs, such as feeding therapy, sensory/emotional regulation, toe-walking and torticollis, are also available at select locations. We are committed to providing an exceptional experience that enhances each child's participation in desired family, community and school activities.
