  • The Athletic Trainers within KORT are comprised of Board-Certified Athletic Trainers who advocate for the health and safety of all athletes they work with. KORT's Athletic Trainers aspire to provide medical care with the highest degree of professionalism, honesty, and compassion. Working directly with the athlete and collaborating with parents, coaches, and other health care providers, we ensure that the athlete is able to participate as safely as possible.

    Mark Fang, ATC
    Mark is a native of New York, and Graduating from Stony Brook University, we are happy to have Mark Fang, ATC joining the KORT team as the athletic trainer at Anderson Co. HS. He is a nationally certified athletic trainer through the BOC and becoming a Kentucky licensed athletic trainer through the KY Board of Medical Licensure. While at Stony Brook University Mark worked with numerous college sports as well as being the Athletic Trainer at Oyster Bay High School.

    Jennifer Hayden, PT, DPT, OCS, ATC
    Jennifer is a native of Bardstown. Jennifer completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University in 2008. She joined our team in 2003 after graduating with her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky. She received her undergraduate diploma in Exercise Science/Sports Medicine from Campbellsville University. Jennifer provides sports medicine coverage for Bethlehem High School. She became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist in 2011 and enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic conditions especially pediatric and sports-related.

    Lindsey Townsel, ATC
    Lindsey Townsel joined KORT in the fall of 2014. She is a licensed athletic trainer in the Owensboro clinic and functions as the head athletic trainer for Brescia University. Lindsey comes to KORT from Muskegon, Michigan where she worked as a licensed athletic trainer for Mercy Health. This position afforded her the opportunity to serve as the head athletic trainer for Muskegon Community College. Her responsibilities not only included athletic training services at the college, but she also did community outreach to local high schools in the area; primarily spending time at Muskegon Heights Public Schools Academy. During the winter semester of 2011, Lindsey began teaching as an adjunct professor for the physical education department at Muskegon Community College. Lindsey is a 2010 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana where she was the first graduate assistant athletic trainer to serve in the two-year position. While at USI she received a master's degree in Public Administration.

    Kayla is nationally certified with the National Athletic Trainers Board of Certification and state licensed with the Kentucky State Board of Medical Licensure. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Indiana University & obtained a Master's of Education in Health & Kinesiology from The University of Texas at Tyler. Kayla also holds certifications in Correct Exercise & Performance Enhancement. She has been certified for 6 years & has worked with a variety of athletic levels.

    Josh Heines, MA, LAT, ATC
    Josh is a native of Louisville, KY and a graduate of Holy Cross High School. He is nationally certified by the BOC and licensed by the Kentucky State Board of Medical Licensure. Josh received his undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Eastern Kentucky University and received his Master’s degree in Sports Management from East Tennessee State University. While at ETSU, Josh worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the men’s tennis, cheerleading, and dance teams. Before coming to Butler Traditional High School, Josh was the Athletic Trainer at Marion County High School in Lebanon, KY. Josh works out of the Shively Center clinic. Josh is also certified in ErgoScience POETS and is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association (NATA) and the Kentucky Athletic Trainer’s Society (KYATS). When not working, Josh enjoys spending time with family/friends, playing sport, fishing, and hiking.

    Kristen Pollock is nationally certified with the Board of Certification and state certified with the Kentucky State Board of Medical Licensure. Kristen earned her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from The Ohio State University and her master's degree in Exercise Science from The University of Toledo.

    Caroline is nationally certified with the Board of Certification. She joins KORT after receiving her Masters of Science in Athletic Training from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She completed her undergraduate degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Exercise Science from the College of Charleston.

    Kate Meyer, MS, ATC, is nationally certified with the Board of Certification and state licensed with the Kentucky State Board of Medical Licensure. Kate earned her undergraduate degree from Ball State University in 2007 and her master's degree in Health Promotion from Oklahoma State University in 2009. While at Oklahoma State University Kate was the athletic trainer for the Men's Cross Country and Track teams.

    Candi Lee received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology from the University of Kentucky and her Master of Education degree in Exercise Science from Auburn University. She has worked a variety of sports at the high school and college level.

    Chelsey is a Board Certified Athletic Trainer and Kentucky State licensed with the Kentucky State Board of Medical Licensure. Chelsey earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training with a minor in exercise science from Northern Kentucky University. Her experience includes working with both high school and college athletes throughout her career.

    Abbie Ballentine, ATC
    Abbie is from Springfield, OH and graduated from Northwestern High School in 2010. While in high school she played soccer and basketball. She received her Bachelor’s in Athletic Training from Eastern Kentucky University in 2015. Abbie is certified through the BOC and licensed by the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure. Her favorite sports to cover are football and soccer. She also used to enjoy showing dairy cows, something she did from the age of three until 21. Her favorite professional sports teams are the Reds and Bengals and when it comes to college she cheers for the Ohio State Buckeyes and EKU. Abbie will be an athletic trainer at Eastern High School while getting her Master’s in athletic administration and coaching from Western Kentucky University.

    Suzanne is certified by the Board of Certification. She is licensed by Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure and Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners. Suzanne attended the University of Tennessee at Martin. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance, concentration in Athletic Training. Since then, Suzanne has worked in a variety of setting including: secondary, colligate, semi pro, orthopedics and physical therapy. She presently provides sports medicine services to the athletes of Presentation High School for KORT Physical Therapy.

    Becky Clifton, MS, ATC, LAT, CKTP
    Becky is a nationally certified athletic trainer through the NATA-BOC. She holds licenses in Indiana and Kentucky from each state's Medical Board. Becky is also certified in FMS and Kinesio Taping. And, has training in Massage Therapy. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Indiana State University and her Masters at Indiana University-Bloomington. Becky's career started at the University of Detroit as the Assistant Athletic Trainer and Associate Professor. Her teaching responsibilities included Athletic Injury Assessment, Kinesiology, and Exercise Physiology. She also has international experience with the 1987 Pan Am Games and the 1996 Paralympic Games. Becky began working at Floyd Central High School in 1991 and for KORT Physical Therapy in 2014.

    Rachel Hollenbach, PT, DPT
    Rachel graduated from the Univeristy of Pittsburgh with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree in 2015. Rachel started working at the KORT Georgetown office in 2015 and has a particular interest in sports and orthopedic related injuries. She is from the central Pennslyvania area and decided to venture south to begin her physical therapy career. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys cooking, movies and playing/watching sports.

    Tiffany Hammond, MS, ATC, is nationally certified with the Board of Certification and state licensed with Indiana and Kentucky State Board of Medical Licensure. She has a master's degree in Sport Management from the University of Louisville and a bachelor's in Education with a concentration in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine from the University of Louisville.

    Daniel Thomas, ATC
    Daniel is nationally certified through the BOC and is state licensed with Indiana State Board of Medical Licensure. He has a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Southern Illinois University. At SIU, he worked with football, men's basketball, track and field as well as numerous club sports. He served as a student intern with the Southern Illinois Miners baseball team (Frontier League).

    Ray Hibbert, ATC, is nationally certified with the Board of Certification and state licensed with Kentucky State Board of Medical Licensure. He has a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Franklin College. Ray is a certified personal trainer by the National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF).

    Rebecca Dayton, MS, ATC
    Rebecca is a certified athletic trainer. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association as well as the Southeastern Athletic Trainers' Association, and is licensed by the state of Kentucky. She received her bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Science - Athletic Training from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before completing her master's degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training from the University of South Carolina. Rebecca has four years of certified athletic training experience and has worked in Arizona and Florida before joining KORT.

    Anthony Passarette, ATC
    Anthony is a New York native who graduated with a Bachelors' in Athletic Training from Stony Brook University. He went onto to California University of Pennsylvania for graduate school where he received his Masters' in Athletic Training. He spent a year at the University of Cincinnati as the Track and Field athletic trainer before coming to Kentucky State University as the Head Athletic Trainer. Anthony is certified by the NSCA as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and a licensed athletic trainer by the state of Kentucky.

    Teresa earned her Doctorate at the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, and her master's degree at the University of Kentucky. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Teresa is a member of the Performing Arts Special Interest Group in Orthopedic Section, and a member of the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science. She enjoys outdoor activities, running, and travelling.

    Kevin Brown, MEd, ATC, is nationally certified with the Board of Certification and state licensed with the Kentucky State Board of Medical Licensure. He has a master's degree in Applied Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine-Athletic Training from Eastern Michigan University.

    Ryan is a nationally certified athletic trainer with the Board of Certification and state licensed by the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Western Kentucky University and a Master of Athletic Training from the University of Arkansas. Additionally, Ryan spent a summer with the University of Louisville football team. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and has worked with amateur as well as professional athletes.

    Brittany is nationally certified through the Board of Certification and state licensed through the Kentucky State Board of Medical Licensure. She is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association. Brittany has a Master of Athletic Training degree from The University of Findlay and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science degree from Western Kentucky University. Prior to working with KORT, she served as the Head Athletic Trainer at St. Catharine College for 3 years. In her free time Brittany enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing with her dogs, shopping, and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats.

    Cody James, MS, ATC, has a Master of Science degree in Athletic Training from Ohio University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Heildelberg College. He is nationally board certified and licensed in the state of Kentucky. He has worked with the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball team during spring training, as well as the Triple A baseball team, the Tucson Sidewinders.

    Kaleigh Hundley, ATC, CPT
    Kaleigh is a certified athletic trainer (Board of Certification) and is licensed by the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure. She is also a certified personal trainer by the National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF). She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine from Westfield State University. She has been a certified athletic trainer since 2011. Kaleigh came to us in February of this year from NYC and has been providing additional coverage at Kentucky Country Day, as well as strength and conditioning in KORT's Sports Performance program. Now she is the Head Athletic Trainer and volleyball strength and conditioning coach at Presentation Academy, affiliated with the Downtown clinic.

She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training from Valdosta State University. She has been a Certified Athletic Trainer since June 2002. In 2008, Kristen was named the Kentucky High School Athletic Trainer of the Year.

    Amanda King, ATC
    Amanda is certified with the Board of Certification and licensed by the Kentucky State Board of Medical Licensure. Amanda received her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from the University of Mobile in 2011. She is currently working on a dual Master’s degree in Health & Fitness and Sports Coaching from the United States Sports Academy. Amanda has worked with both college and high school sports including football, basketball, soccer and softball.

    Erica is certified with the national Board of Certification and licensed through Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure. She graduated from Murray State University with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training. She started at KORT in 2013 as a graduate assistant and moved to full time in 2015.

    Eric Burkard, MA, ATC, CSCS, is a certified athletic trainer (Board of Certification) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (National Strength and Conditioning Association). Eric has a Master of Arts degree in Exercise Physiology from The College of St. Scholastica (Duluth, MN) and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training. Eric has been additionally trained in the use of The Kiniesio Taping Method and The Functional Movement Screen.

    Bill Cubbage, ATC, is nationally certified with the Board of Certification and state licensed with the Kentucky State Board of Medical Licensure. He was selected by the Southeast Athletic Trainers' Association (SEATA) as the 2010 High School Athletic Trainer of The Year. Bill obtained his degree in Physical Education from the University of Louisville in 1983. He has worked at the Professional, College and High School levels for over 30 years. Bill is the past vice president of the Kentucky Athletic Trainers Society (KATS) and winner of the KATS Award of Merit in 2004.

    Audrey Bariovich, ATC
    Audrey is a recent Graduate of Illinois State University, Normal IL. She graduated with dual degrees in Athletic Training and Political Science. Audrey is certified by the BOC and licensed by the KY Board of Medical Licensure. During her time at ISU, Audrey worked with ISU Women's Soccer, Illinois Wesleyan Women's Basketball, Normal Community High School and Athletico Physical Therapy. In addition she also completed a summer internship with Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. She also enjoyed volunteering with Special Olympics of Illinois, providing Athletic Training services.

    Jazmin Cureton is nationally certified with the Board of Certification and state licensed with the Kentucky State Board of Medical Licensure. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Xavier University, where she worked with several sports, including the Xavier Women's Basketball Team.

    Josh Martoccio, ATC
    Josh is nationally certified through the Board of Certification and is state licensed with Kentucky State Board of Medical Licensure. Josh is a native of Illinois. He joined KORT in July of 2015 coming from Kentucky State University where he served as the head athletic trainer. He also has experience in working with high school sports as he was the athletic trainer for Robertson County high school. He has a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Murray State University. At Murray State, he worked with an array of sports at the university including football, baseball, softball, men and women’s track, women’s soccer, men and women’s basketball, volleyball, and golf. He earned his master’s degree from Arkansas State University in Exercise Science. At Arkansas State he was a graduate assistant for the ROTC military program and for football.

    Dean obtained his Masters Degree from the University of Kentucky after graduating from Western Kentucky University. He is a Board Certified Athletic Trainer licensed in the State of Kentucky by the KY Medical Board. Dean has held several positions on the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure, worked closely with the KHSAA High School Athletic Directors Association and worked the Bluegrass State games since its inception. Dean has numerous awards that include; The Kentucky Athletic Trainers’ Society: Award of Merit, (1995 and 2010), Southeast Athletic Trainers Association: High School Athletic Trainer of the Year, (1997), Kentucky Athletic Trainers’ Society: High School Athletic Trainer of the Year, (2004),Kentucky Athletic Trainers’ Society: Hall of Fame (Inducted June, 2016)
